Dr. G.S. Ramesh, MD, F.A.C.P., A.G.A.F, is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. He is also a clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston.
Dr. Ramesh has been in practice for over 25 years in the field of gastroenterology and liver diseases. He has done many educational programs for physicians in the community. Senior medical students from McGovern Medical School at UT Houston rotate with him on a monthly basis.

Question: Why Did You Get Into Healthcare?
Dr. Ramesh: During my freshman year in college, I visited a hospital with a friend who was studying to be a doctor. I followed him while he made rounds at the hospital facility with interns and residents. At the end of his rotation, I changed my mind from engineering to medicine, especially since I could help people with their medical illnesses. The satisfaction I get from a patient who has a full recovery cannot be put in words.
Question: What Drew You To Gastroenterology?
Dr. Ramesh: My first rotation was in gastroenterology. It was fascinating looking into the human body without surgery, and this increased my interest

I put off signs that there was an issue internally for 3 years. I moved to TX and was blessed to find Dr Ramesh. Scheduled a colonoscopy and it was determined that I had polyps that needed to be removed. Dr Ramesh was thorough, informative, and was ready to answer any question I had as Im sure I showed visible signs of concern.
Scheduled the appointment/procedure and was in and out in no time the day of. HIs staff followed up to make sure I was doing good
as well thereafter.

I was referred to Dr. Ramesh by my OB, when I couldn’t get any answers from my PCP. He was able to figure out what was going on. I want to say that he is very attentive to you and is able to answer all your questions. I feel comfortable and safe being under his care. Today, I had an endoscopy and the procedure went smoothly. Great doctor, really recommend!

I had excruciating pain - was told in ER 1 week earlier it was Gerd. A second episode and I was able to see Dr. Ramesh. He ordered testing and found it was gallstones. He was proactive we talked about pain management and my options.I have an appointment to see the surgeon soon. He called to check up on me and I am so grateful 🙏 for his knowledge and medical advice. 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My experience with his office staff was below average assistance. I needed the person in his office to send the pharmacy I use a special coupon for me to receive a discount with my insurance for the colonoscopy prep. I had a problem and left several messages for this woman to contact me to send additional coupon information but she did not in a timely manner. I could not wait any longer, as I had to start the prep the day before the procedure, and ended up paying a higher price for the prep.

I went to doctor Ramesh because I was Experiencing severe esophageal pains. I had visited three other internist and they could not determine what my issue was. Dr. Ramesh was able to determine the issue and provide a course of action; he was very thorough and I'm happy to say that I am pain free. Highly recommended.
